Weathering and erosion
Weathering is the decomposition of earth rocks, soils and their minerals through direct contact with the planet's atmosphere[1]. Weathering occurs in situ, or "with no movement", and thus should not to be confused with erosion, which involves the movement of rocks and minerals by agents such as water, ice, wind, and gravity
Erosion is the carrying away or displacement of solids (sediment, soil, rock and other particles)
Wearthing:
1. earthquake is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust that creates seismic waves. Earthquakes are recorded with a seismometer, also known as a seismograph.
2. Pacific typhoon or tropical storm is a tropical cyclone that forms in the northwestern Pacific Ocean.
Erosion:
1. Sheet erosion is the detachment of soil particles by raindrop impact and their removal downslope by water flowing overland as a sheet instead of in definite channels or rills.
2. Ice erosion is caused by movement of ice, typically as glaciers. Glaciers erode predominantly by three different processes: abrasion/scouring, plucking, and ice thrusting.
3. Wind erosion is the result of material movement by the wind. There are two main effects. First, wind causes small particles to be lifted and therefore moved to another region.
